Kelly McFarland Public Lectures this Thursday

Kelly McFarland, a College of Wooster History grad from 2000, will be on campus this Thursday to present two events:

Thursday, 11am, Kauke Tower
“You’re a History Major?  What Are You Going to Do With That?’ Careers
for History Majors”

Thursday, 4pm, Severance 009
Public Lecture: “The United States, the Persian Gulf, and the Arab
Spring: Past, Present and Future.”

Dr. McFarland will have time to meet with students during the day on Thursday. Just contact Prof. Shaya if you are interested.

Dr. Kelly M. McFarland is the Arabian Peninsula Intelligence Analyst for the U.S. Department of State’s Bureau of Intelligence and Research.  He also teaches as an adjunct professor in the Elliot School of International Affairs and the History Department at the George Washington University.  Dr. McFarland received his Ph.D. in History from Kent State University, specializing in U.S. foreign relations and the Modern Middle East.  He received his bachelor’s degree in History from The College of Wooster in 2000.
