The 161st Wayne County Fair opens tomorrow at the fairgrounds just west of downtown. Here is your chance to sample Ohio’s #1 agricultural fair. There will be shuttles running all day from Lowry Circle.
The Fair runs from Saturday to Thursday. Some of the highlights that you won’t want to miss: the horse pull – Saturday at 10; the state-sanctioned modified and superstock tractor pull – Saturday night; the fiddling contest – Sunday at 1; Bobby Goldsboro, country star of the 1960s and 70s – performing Sunday night; the brown Swiss and Guernsey show – Monday at 7:30; Luke Bryan, country music star – Monday night; the Junior market hog show – Tuesday at noon; Ronnie Milsap, legendary country artist – Tuesday night; the demolition derby – Thursday at 7. Tickets are required for some events. Full details are online at http://www.waynecountyfairohio.com/
The tractor pull is a must. You forgot to mention the sausage. There is nothing like a good sausage and onion sandwich at the fair.
