Wooster History Spring Picnic THURSDAY

A message from Dr. Greg Shaya:

“On behalf of the Department of History, I’m writing to invite you to the History Spring Picnic, next Thursday, April 28, from 4 to 6pm, in the Bornhuetter Pavilion. History majors & minors, majors with a home department in History, and students interested in History are all welcome.

We’ll let you bring along your roommate if they can correctly answer any one of the following questions:
1) Which King Louis of France reigned immediately after King Louis XIV?

2) What two countries fought the Franco-Prussian War?

3) In what month did the October Revolution of 1917 take place?

4) When did the sixties begin?

(NB: These last two questions have multiple correct answers).

We’ll supply some burgers and veggie burgers, salad and drinks. Your favorite professors will be on hand – together with the rest of us. There will be croquet – and perhaps a chance for students to redeem themselves from the fall. Kids are very much welcome. In case of heavy rain or severe thunderstorm warnings we will postpone for a better day.
We hope to see you all there! gks”
