This Thursday, the Department of History presents a public history talk by Bill Convery, Colorado State Historian, entitled “Sand Creek, Japanese Internment, and Jim Crow: Interpreting Controversy at the History Colorado Center.” The talk is this Thursday at 11 in Kauke 137.
This is an excellent opportunity to talk to a public historian with a great deal of experience. As the talk suggests, Bill will talk about the different constituency groups invested in interpreting the past and the challenges and opportunities in creating public exhibits on the less positive sides of the American past.
Support for this event is provided by the Lilly Grants for the Exploration of Vocation.
